Dr. Lilia Cheniti Belcadhi

She’s an associate professor and Researcher of Computer Sciences at the Higher Institute of Computer Sciences and Communication Technologies, University of Sousse, Tunisia, and a graduate of the University of Braunschweig in Germany where she read for an engineer and master’s degree in Computer Sciences. She is a member of the PRINCE Research Lab at the University of Sousse and was associate researcher at the Computer Science department at Telecom Bretagne, Brest in France. Her PhD was realized in collaboration with the Semantic Web group at the Institute of Information Systems of the University of Hannover in Germany.  She has also a diploma of « Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches » (HDR) in Computer Sciences. Her research interests include Technology Enhanced Learning, Semantic Web and E-assessment and Elearning She is associated as Technology Enhanced Learning Expert with many national and International organizations (VUT : Virtual University of Tunis, AUF (Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, ILO: International Labor Organization).  She is involved, as part of her ongoing research, in several e-learning projects and has co-authored various online courses and a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Object Oriented Modeling of Computer applications. She is coauthor of the first Computer Sciences MOOC in Tunisia, hosted on FUN 5France Université Numérique) for two sessions in 2015 and 2016. She led the online learning department and is currently coordinator of Pedagogical Innovation Unit at her University. Her recent Technology Enhanced Learning Projects are : LET’SEGA (2017-2019): A Framework for Assessment of Competencies based on (2019-2020)Serious Games for Lebanon, Egypt and Tunisia; Learning Lab LETS (Lebanon, Egypt,, Tunisia and Switzerland) in MENA  Network; Erasmus+ InSIDE project (2019-2021) (Including Student with Impairments in Distance Education) and OBTAIN Project (Digitalization of  Liberal Arts Skills for Job Seekers and NEETs in MENA Region : Egypt, Tunisia and France) (2021-2023).

Ghada El Khayat

 

4.pngDr. Ghada El Khayat holds a Bachelor Degree in Communications Engineering from Alexandria University (1989), a Masters Degree in Project Management from Senghor University (1995) and a Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montréal, Canada (2003). Currently, she is a Full Professor and the Chairperson of the Information Systems and Computers Department at the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University. Dr. El Khayat has worked, full time, in different international big projects where she had both technical tasks involving the implementation and testing of new systems and project management tasks involving planning, cost estimating and cost control. In her career as a university professor, she taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate, Masters, Ph.D, MBA, and EMBA levels in Egypt, Canada and a number of Arab and Middle Eastern countries. One of the courses that she introduced in the curricula and that she is proud of is “Management of Technology and Innovation” that she teaches for over 10 years today. In this course she coaches students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and to produce in groups ICT based Innovation. She has organized a number of student competitions in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Dr. El Khayat introduced the Innov Egypt training in Alexandria University, a brand of the “Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center- TIEC”, an arm of the Egyptian Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. She has served as jury member for National and International Entrepreneurship Competitions. She has also participated in a number of acceleration and incubation activities both virtually and in a Face to Face setting. She is a consultant and trainer to the industry in areas of Information Systems Project Management, Information Technology Strategy and Decision Making. 

Dr. El Khayat has supervised over 50 graduation projects in Faculties of Commerce and Engineering. She also supervised research for over 20 Ph.D. and Master’s students. Dr. El Khayat has published over 40 papers in peer reviewed conferences and journals in addition to a couple of book chapters published internationally. She is the principal investigator (PI) of a number of research projects of Alexandria University. She is the Head of the “Pedagogical Innovation and Distance Learning-ADIP” Unit, Alexandria University and a regional expert of the “Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie-AUF” in areas of Information Technology and Digital Learning.

 

Prof. Khalid BERRADA

Khalid Berrada is professor of physics. He was director of the Centre for pedagogical innovation at UCA and Unesco Chairholder on “Teaching physics by doing” since 2010. He was the founder and president of the Moroccan Society of Applied Physics 2006-2011. He has been Chair of several international conferences on Physics, education and optics. He has co-authored many research papers, chapters/manuals/books and guest editor of some special issues of scientific journals. He has been member of many national and international conference and meeting committees. He has organized and facilitated many active learning workshops in Africa. He is also one of the developers of the successful French program of Unesco Active Learning in Optics and Photonics and has facilitated many workshops in Morocco on Micro-computer based laboratories. He has been involved in many national and international projects. He was coordinating the UC@MOOC project created in 2013 at UCA. He is also coordinating and contributing to many Erasmus plus projects and currently leading a Group of research on Educational innovation at UCA (Trans ERIE) and the Morocco Declaration on Open Education since 2016.

Prof. Mahmoud I. Khalil, PhD

Dr. Mahmoud Khalil is the Head of the Department of Biological Sciences at Beirut Arab University, Lebanon and an Associate Professor at Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, Egypt. He got his PhD from University College London, UK (7th in world QS ranking). This was followed by a postdoctoral fellow at MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA (ranked 1st in cancer care in USA). Dr. Khalil’s objective in teaching is to foster the acquisition of concepts and learning skills to ease further learning and thinking. All students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow mentally, socially, and emotionally in a safe environment. His challenge is to stimulate curiosity, generate enthusiasm for science, as well as learning, by linking taught contents to the real world. Dr. Khalil has around 20 years of experience in academic teaching. As a researcher, he and his colleagues have published many articles in highly impacted journals including Nature Chemical Biology (Q1; IF:12.7). With the booming online teaching and learning environment nowadays, Dr. Khalil is interested in raising the awareness about Open Educational Resources (OER), Learning Management Systems (LMS), Copyrights, eCheating, and eAuthentication. Dr. Khalil is an experienced user of Learning Management Systems. He practiced academic teaching using LMS in four different countries UK, USA, Egypt, and Lebanon. To the aim to grow the OER community, Dr. Khalil is currently involved in the initiative to establish an OER Hub for students and academics which will lead to more equitable access to education, will serve a broader base of learners than traditional education, and will lead to financial benefits for students and institutions.

 

 

 

 

 

Prof. Ramy Iskander

Prof. Rami Iskander obtained his PhD in Instructional Technology from Cairo University in 2012, his background in ICT and education led him to work as a lecturer in the department of Computers and Distance Education at Mansoura University. He is specialized in the pedagogical use of education technology at both the research and practical levels. He is currently supervising a number of MA & PhD dissertations in the field of E-Learning in Mansoura and Cairo Universities. He is the Vice Director of the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center and the Director of National E-Learning Center in Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. He is applying the strategies for dissemination of E-Learning culture among public Egyptian universities and responsible for the professional development of the technical staff and id following up the technical process of E-Courses production in all public Universities in Egypt. Now he is proud to be responsible for blended learning in Egyptian universities. He also participated in a lot of national, international & Francophone E-Learning conferences. He is a well-known figure in E-Learning communities among Egyptian public universities and an actor in a number of national E-learning and Mooc initiatives in Egypt.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Haifa Belhadj

Haifa Belhadj is assistant professor in telecommunication and instructional design and e-learning specialist. Currently, she is a Senior Instructional Designer at Qatar University. She obtained her PhD in telecommunication from the National Engineering School of Tunis and her professional Master's degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology from the University of Cergy in Paris. During her project she developed and implemented an online training for Tunisian instructors about searching and developing Open Educational Resources. She is assistant professor and researcher at the University of Carthage in Tunisia. She served as professional development specialist in digital pedagogy, designing online courses, Open Educational Resources…at the Virtual University of Tunis. She also worked as an online academic tutor and trainer in the Master ACREDITE program at the University of Cergy Paris.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Mohamed Koutheair Khribi

Mohamed Koutheair Khribi is ICT specialist in education. He has over 20 years’ experience in ICT and Technology Enhanced Learning field. Currently, Dr. Khribi is ICT Access Specialist - Educational Programs at Mada center in Qatar. Dr. Khribi is assistant professor and researcher at the University of Tunis in Tunisia. He served as programme specialist in educational technology at the ALECSO ICT department (The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization). He’d been leading several projects at large scale in Arab countries, related mainly to the ICT in education field, namely, Smart Learning, OER, MOOCs, ICT-CFT, Mobile Applications and Cloud Computing. Dr. Khribi participated in the establishment of the Virtual University of Tunis in 2002 where he served as head of the ICT department. He also headed the Online Education Department at the University of Kairouan in Tunisia. Dr. Khribi is a Fulbright Alumnus, He attended the Knowledge Discovery and Web Mining Lab at the University of Louisville in the USA as a Fulbright visiting scholar. Dr. Khribi is member of L@tice laboratory at the University of Tunis, and IEEE member. His research interests include Technology Enhanced Learning; Educational Recommender Systems; Open Educational Resources; Artificial Intelligence, Learning Analytics; Machine Learning, Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning. He has authored several well-cited e-learning related publications in scientific books, journals, and conferences.
